An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
